Places
A place is a location within the larger whole of time and space. Within Stringism, we therefore believe that strings, the energy around who we are, are inherently connected to this, just as we ourselves exist within this time and space.
Although Stringism sees a person with a soul as a connection of different strings to a network of nodes, strings can also drift freely as long as they do not find a need or nudge to connect to a node.
This gives rise to a number of interesting concepts.
A place has memories
A place therefore has, in effect, a certain sense of memory about what has happened there. As things happen, energy is invested in the string that contains that event.
A string can attach itself to an existing network of nodes, in other words a soul, but it can just as well keep wandering.
In a traumatic event in which a soul is lost, there is therefore also a greater chance that these strings remain floating and give a certain vibe to a place that others can pick up on.
Déjà vu
Because we ourselves take in strings, including those from the loved ones around us, it may be that a string has formed from a memory that connects both a soul and a location, even if that was long ago.
If that string then arises between two nodes or souls, or is even passed on in full, the memory can therefore remain present unconsciously — not physically in the brain, but in the soul.
When we later arrive at that place, that existing string can be activated again. The feeling that we have seen, felt, or experienced something before does not necessarily have to come from a personal memory within Stringism. It can also be a memory that reached us through strings in our network.
Feels like home
A place can therefore also feel like home right away. This can happen through two effects.
On the one hand, there is the purely rational: you recognize things that make you think of earlier memories. Those memories then begin to pull on your soul, emotions, and strings, and give them energy again.
On the other hand, this can also happen unconsciously. Because you yourself are a collection, you may also have picked up things elsewhere. If, for example, you spend a lot of time with friends who love the sea, or even more strongly, if your parents love being by the sea, then this feeling may seep through and come with you, even if you have never been to the sea yourself.
The strings in your soul node can then give you a warm and pleasant feeling through the energy you have received from others. It feels familiar. Feels like home...
Conversely, it may also be that someone you know once visited that place and left their energy there in a few loose strings that you later feel again.
